The “public plan” deception: Isn’t it about choice

A scary video showing that the proponents of the “public” medical insurance plan see this as a means to establishing a monopoly on medical insurance. I’d like to see this video go “viral.” If you would too, take a moment to help make it happen!

It’s tragic, really.  People wouldn’t hate insurance companies so much if they were more accountable to patients. But since the tax code effectively discounts employer-provided insurance, insurance companies are not accountable to patients. They are accountable to HR departments of companies.  But unions like employer-sponsored insurance, so politicians who support it a tax code that favors it get the union vote. And clearly insurance companies like it: the tax code discounts their product and shields them from real competition.
