Free-market health care slogans
September 7th, 2009 | by Brian Schwartz |If you plan to attend the September 12 the Freedom Rally in Denver, here are some slogans to consider if you want to make a sign. I want to emphasize that opposing the Democrats’ proposals does not mean keeping the status quo. In fact, the policies Democrats advocate would actually entrench bad parts of the status quo. A really bad sign would be “Protect our health care system!” A health care “system” is the problem, and the current one stinks!
Free-market health care reforms are real reform. That said, some slogans. Surely there are many more. Please add them in the comments:
- Force is not competition! (reference to public plan, HT, Jared Rhodes)
- Government is the disease, not the cure.
“Government is a disease masquerading as its own cure.” - Robert LeFevre - The un-free market has failed. (HT, Ayn Rand Institute)
- The U.S. already has socialized medicine! (This will get some questions!)
- Political controls stifle competition
or:
Want competition? Repeal political controls!
Background: among insurers — tax law, no national market, & providers via medical licensing - Health care is not a right. … Respect our rights to seek medical treatment! (HT Richard Ralston)
- No virtue in forced charity.
- Medicare for all will bankrupt the country. (”for all” is optional, either one will!)
- He’s not my doctor! (click on bumper sticker below)
