Harry Reid & Democrats’ health “reform” will enslave us

As you’ve probably heard, Senate Majority Leader Harry Read likens those who oppose the Democrats’ so-called health care “reform” as those who opposed the end of slavery:

Melissa Clouthier points out the irony of this, as it is the Democrats’ plans that erode our freedom and makes us more like slaves to politicians’ desires:

One could argue that the health care legislation being proposed by Harry Reid et al. pushes the balance toward enslavement. That is, Americans will pay more in taxes. They will be forced by the government to do something (buy insurance) they may not want or need to do. They will be forced to accept government standards of care. They will have less choices both in their private financial decisions (since more money will be spent on government mandates rather than personal desires) and in their health care decisions. …

Those who fight the health care legislation fear being owned. They fear that every personal decision from cradle to grave will be manipulated by a nameless, faceless bureaucrat in Washington D.C. …

Harry Reid needs to look in the mirror. It is he who wants to control every aspect of a person’s health care life. …

Harry Reid is all about ownership…as long as the government owns and the taxpayer is enslaved.

Its very clear!! Between the health bill energy crap bill our pay checks wont be worth much, but wait, a political savour will arise and cut our regular payroll deductions and the peoples who are favor of these frauds will cheer hooray! Lower payroll taxes, but the inconvient truth is we will all be giving our government 70* of our hard earned money. Do the math on added indirect taxes, someone has to pay for the exstreme expansion of the now standing Tax exempt united nation s administrators and international health care regulators who will soon have jurisdiction over our lives, money, taxes and hobbies. These two bills are the worst attack on america ever. The money, time, and energy used to propagate these bills could of allready solved or been long ago engaged in doing so. You know it, i know, and our politians know it.
    Question of the day.
Why do all the united nations employees and relatives living here in usa pay no!! Taxes and no workers over 32 on many ads.
    Please reply.

    Hi Diane,

I am not familiar with U.S. tax policy for UN employees and relatives living in the U.S. Are you saying they pay no taxes levied by any country, or just the U.S.? Where do they get their paychecks from?

In any case, health care “reform” and cap & trade are indeed scary.
